get_today_overview	Use this first when the user asks what Bible Glide verses, readings, lessons, memory verses, or Bible work they have today. Returns today's Daily Scripture, Lectionary Daily Scripture readings, and current small-group lesson readings when available, with BSB reference-source metadata and readerUrl fields for Bible Glide links. Reference-only rows should be answered with the linked reference and relevant context, not invented verse text.
get_small_group_lessons	Use this when the user specifically asks about small groups, group lessons, assigned group readings, weekly group readings, or memory verses. Returns active small-group lesson rows for the connected account's current local week, with BSB reference-source metadata and readerUrl fields for Bible Glide links. Include relevant group, lesson, label, and date context rather than inventing verse text.
get_upcoming_church_events	Use this when the user asks about upcoming church events, what is happening at their church, church calendar items, or their next church gathering. Returns upcoming events posted by the user's churches with date, start time, location, and details. Present dates and times in a friendly format and never invent events that are not returned.
get_today_daily_verse	Use this when the user asks specifically for today's Bible Glide Daily Scripture item or Lectionary Daily Scripture readings, not broader small-group lessons or all Bible work for today. Returns BSB reference-source metadata and readerUrl fields for Bible Glide links; do not invent verse text when only a reference is present.
get_current_daily_plan	Use this when the user asks for the full active Bible Glide Daily Scripture plan, schedule, or upcoming Daily Scripture items. Returns BSB reference-source metadata and readerUrl fields for Bible Glide links; use each item's theme, explanation, practice, and prayer prompt as relevant context when verse text is not present.
bible_glide_chat	Use this when the user asks for Bible study explanation, reflection, prayer help, interpretation, application, synthesis across readings, or a conversational answer. It creates a private Member AI chat exchange for the connected account and counts against chat limits. For simple lists of today's assigned verses or group lessons, prefer the read-only tools first. General Scripture references should prefer BSB unless the user supplied another app-supported translation in passageContext.
